We would like to introduce you to the Victoria Youth Musical Theatre Company (VYMTC), a company dedicated to youth musical theatre in Victoria.
Our mandate is to encourage children through our intensive and exciting theatre programs.
Through our one of a kind summer camps and year-round classes, VYMTC presents a unique opportunity for children in the Victoria area to learn about musical theatre and to perform in a professional theatre setting. We hope to give our youth the building blocks to use in other aspects of their lives, such as an increase in self-esteem, greater confidence in speaking and performing in public, and better respect for an understanding of the ways the Arts contribute to the improvement of our community. We hope that our students will use their experiences gained with VYMTC in the future to participate in the Arts with their schools and within their communities.
Alumni of our programs have gone on to train at some of the most prestigious performing arts schools in North America. We have alumni working in Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles, London England, and even right here in Victoria.
